Artworks
Paul Earee was born in Sudbury and attended St Peters and St Gregory's School in the town. He was later professionally trained as an ecclesiastical architect, art teacher and illustrator. He designed Council housing and the pulpit for St Gregory's Church in Sudbury.
He constantly painted in his spare time, and he was a founder of the Stour Valley Group of artists in 1922 and a member of the Ipswich Art Club from 1938. He became friends with Rowland Suddaby after Suddaby's relocation to nearby Great Connard in 1939.
This painting evokes the changing light through an avenue of trees using short stabs of paint echoing impressionism.
