Constable Country? 1830-2016
2026 is the 250th anniversary of the birth of John Constable - famous for his depiction of the Suffolk landscape and earning the county the name of 'Constable Country'. Our display looks at the legacy and influence of Constable on a group of artists and images of the Stour Valley. We also have a group of rare prints available overseen by Constable in 1830 of scenes of Suffolk.
